Visa Support

Our event has been recognized as a Special event by the Government of Canada. Consequently, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) assigned us the event code for visa purposes. It is valid when applying for both visa and e-visa through the IRCC Portal (using their INSTRUCTIONS). However, this is no guarantee of visa approval, as each applicant must submit all the necessary documents to support their visa application. The code will be provided in the invitation letter.

Letters of invitation from the conference are given by request upon full payment of registration fees.

Once the University of British Columbia (UBC) has received your registration fee in the bank account, an invitation letter may be issued for the purpose of assisting participants with visa applications. If you require a letter of invitation, please contact the UBC Registration Secretariat at registration@housing.ubc.ca. Should you have been denied your visa, a reimbursement can be made before the cancellation deadline on June 30th 2025 (deducting an administration fee of 35CAD the registration fee which is non refundable).
