Leonie Van Gelder grew up in a Theosophical family and has a lifelong interest in healing practices. She originally learned Therapeutic Touch® in the late 1970’s from its co-founder, Dora Kunz. It wasn’t until the mid the 1990’s after attending intensive TT workshops that she decided to pursue its study and practice, eventually becoming a massage therapist, and a Qualified Therapeutic Touch Teacher. Leonie loves to practice Therapeutic Touch and sees it as applied Theosophy--a dance embodying study, meditation and service.
Leonie has been involved in local and regional Theosophical organizations. She and her husband Minor Lile managed Indralaya, the Theosophical center on Orcas Island in WA State, USA for about 18 years, and now they live on Orcas with their dog Jackson.
